Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Business owners: your name, email address and phone/WhatsApp number; your business name, category, Instagram handle and website; business addresses, PIN codes, opening hours; and the offer you make to creators.

Creators: your name, email address, phone number and gender; your Instagram username; your city, PIN code and how far you're willing to travel; and your collaboration preferences, including any rate range you set.

Payments: when you pay, we receive Razorpay reference IDs, the amount, the payment status and the payment method type (for example, “UPI” or “card”). We do not receive or store card numbers, UPI IDs or bank account details — Razorpay handles those directly.

Waitlist and contact: the email address and role you give when joining our waitlist, and anything you send us by email or WhatsApp.

Technical data: cookies needed to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

• To create and run your account.
• To match businesses with suitable nearby creators and arrange visits.
• To process payments, manage subscriptions and send receipts.
• To contact you about visits, your account and your plan, including on WhatsApp.
• To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
• To improve Matchmint.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

• Your match: when a visit is arranged, we share what's needed to make it happen — for example, a business's name, address and offer with the creator, and a creator's name and Instagram handle with the business.
• Service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Razorpay (payments), our website hosting provider, and WhatsApp (messaging).
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Some of these providers may store or process data on servers outside India.

4. Cookies

We only use cookies that are essential to the service, such as the ones that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except payment records, which we keep for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to it is restricted so that each account can see only its own records. Payment details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll notify you and the relevant authorities if a breach affects your data, as the law requires.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it's used;
• correct or update inaccurate data;
• delete your data, subject to any legal duty to keep it;
• withdraw consent you've given — this may mean we can no longer provide the service;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

8. Children

Matchmint is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and notify you directly of any significant change.

10. Grievance Officer
